Fabrication of pseudo three-dimensional PADC cell culture substrates for dosimetric studies
نویسنده
چکیده
Pseudo three-dimensional (3D) polyallyldiglycol carbonate (PADC) cell culture substrates were fabricated by creating micrometer-size pores on thin PADC films by alpha-particle irradiation and subsequent chemical etching. Our results showed comparatively fewer 53BP1 foci in alpha-particle irradiated as well as bystander HeLa cells cultured on pseudo 3D PADC substrates than in those cultured on twodimensional substrates. 2011 Elsevier Ltd. Proliferation of epithelial cells on PDMS substrates with micropillars fabricated with different curvature characteristics.
The present work studied the proliferation of epithelial cells when they were cultivated on substrates with micropillars fabricated with the same height but with different curvature characteristics. A special micro-fabrication method was employed to produce these micropillar substrates. Polyallyldiglycol carbonate (PADC) films were first irradiated by alpha particles and then chemically etched ...
متن کاملDosimetric study of radioadaptive response of zebrafish embryos using PADC-film substrates
We found the alpha-particle priming dose which could effectively induce in vivo radioadaptive response in the embryos of the zebrafish, Danio rerio, to be 4.8e48 mGy, through the apoptotic signals scored in the embryos at 24 h post fertilization. Specially fabricated thin polyallyldiglycol carbonate (PADC) films were used as support substrates for the dechorionated embryos. During irradiation, ...
متن کاملThe effect of substrate temperature on fabrication of one-dimensional nanostructures of Tellurium
Tellurium nanostructures have been prepared by physical vapor deposition method in a tube furnace. The experiments were carried out under argon gas flow at a pressure of 1 mbar. Tellurium powder was evaporated by heating at 350°C and 430°C and was condensed on substrates at 110–250°C, in the downstream of argon gas flow. The products were characterized by field emission scanning electron micros...

متن کاملFabrication of micropillar substrates using replicas of alpha-particle irradiated and chemically etched PADC films.
We proposed a simple method to fabricate micropillar substrates. Polyallyldiglycol carbonate (PADC) films were irradiated by alpha particles and then chemically etched to form a cast with micron-scale spherical pores. A polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) replica of this PADC film gave a micropillar substrate with micron-scale spherical pillars. HeLa cells cultured on such a micropillar substrate had s...
